We used half the material of a billet aluminum mount and more than doubled the strength at the same weight. This cast steel mount weighs only 2.1 lbs. and is IMCA legal. You’ll never strip the threads yet the nut is captured so you don’t need two of each wrench. Unlike aluminum, you can smack it around a bit without denting it. The mount clamps to 1-3/4" O.D. tubing and allows for adjustments in big or small increments. It can be used as a mount for any 3/4" bolt application.
