Many customers prefer the Appleton power racks due to the built in servo. The Integral servo design offers the advantages of fewer lines and easier mounting. An Appleton can get pretty cozy when used with a left side dry sump pump and less than 4" of engine set back. The Appleton power combination costs less than power steering with an independent servo. The power version requires a shorter steering shaft with a 3/4"-30 spline universal, while the manual uses a 3/4"-48.
