We are currently using two different stock based frame section on chassis. Each frame is modified to the limit of what the rules allow. Both frames use 5-1/2" springs standard and have the load bolt plates installed. They can be modified to accept coilovers if needed. Both frames have mounts for a 3rd design style sway bar. Stock steering mounts are standard but rack and pinion mounts can be added.
Firewall Forward
The 70-1/2 to 81 GM "F" car is still the preferred frame anywhere that the rules require a stock frame from the firewall forward. The frames are cut off 24" back from the center of the front wheels. Slotted block style upper a-frame mounts are standard to accept cross shaft style a-frames. This frame will accept stock Camaro lowers as well as fabricated coil and coilover lowers.
Side Rails Forward
The "Big Metric" GM frame is used as the stock platform for our asphalt modified. Stock side rails are used as required. Upper a-frame mounts are installed for the adjustable style a-frames. This is normally used with OEM Ford lowers & will accept fabricated lowers of the same dimension when allowed.
